Plenty of storefronts of opportunities in downtown Castlegar

A meeting in Castlegar last night looked into creating a more vibrant downtown core.

Twenty people showed up representing a number of businesses.

Chamber of Commerce executive director Tammy Verigin-Burk says it was great to hear all the ideas.

Some ideas include adding more patios, specialty stores and creating a better nightlife and arts scene.

Doctor Sandy Battista with head 2 toe holistic health clinic took part in the brainstorming session.

She adds there is a lot of potential for new business owners with so many storefronts and lots available for rent or lease.
