It could take a few years for a decision to be made on the now defunct Waste Transfer Station on Nelson’s Lakeside.
So says Mayor John Dooley who notes there are a number of players involved in addition to the City and RDCK.
He says options for the future of that land will ultimately be brought to the community for consultation.
Dooley’s hope is that it can become a park.
There are groundwater contamination issues that would need to be dealt with.
