A big response for an early morning house fire Saturday in Montrose.
Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue chief Dan Derby says 16 firefighters attended the blaze at a home on Christie Road just after 3:15 am.
He says the two occupants of the home and their pets all made it out safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
