Highway 22 crash claims one life, injures two

A 46 year old woman has died from the injuries she sustained in a crash near Genelle on Highway 22 Tuesday afternoon.

Sgt. Chad Badry with the West Kootenay Traffic Services says an investigation of the crash is in it’s early stages.

Badry says a drug impaired driver was apprehended after going through cones while crews were cleaning up the accident.

He was issued a 24 hour driving prohibition.
