Don't leave your pets in hot vehicles!

With not a day this week expected to be below 30 degrees – a friendly reminder from the Nelson SPCA not to leave pets inside vehicles.

Branch Manager Rob Andrew recommends if you are heading out to shop just leave your dog at home.

Andrew recalls the recent incident in the Lower Mainland where a dog walker left six animals in her vehicle on a hot day in May and they all died.

If you have any concern for a pet inside a car he says don’t hesitate to call the SPCA.
