West Kootenay Traffic Services and the B.C Coroner are investigating after a local man died in a single vehicle accident on Highway 6.
RCMP received a call just after 6:30 PM Monday that a truck had rolled over north of Crescent Valley.
Upon arrival, Police discovered a lone occupant driving an uninsured white Dodge pickup had lost control of his vehicle and went into the oncoming lane – rolling the vehicle twice and trapping himself inside.
A 28 year old Crescent Valley man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say speed, alcohol and no seatbelt are possible factors
