Conroy takes Kootenay West

Voters in Kootenay West overwhelmingly re-elected their incumbent MLA for a fourth term.

New Democrat Katrine Conroy says she’s thankful.

Conroy had just under 60 per cent of the vote.

It’s not yet clear which party will form government or who the premier will be.

Province-wide the Liberals finished the night leading or elected in 43 ridings while the NDP had 41 and the Greens three.
