Marilyn James trial set for Aug. 21

A prominent Slocan Valley First Nations woman will stand trial Aug. 21 in Nelson.

Former Sinixt spokeswoman Marilyn James is accused of mischief and unlawfully being in a home.

It stems from an incident last November in Vallican at a house owned by the Colville Confederated Tribes.

James insists she’s innocent.
