A penchant for burnouts has landed one driver in hot water.
Castlegar RCMP Sgt. Laurel Matthew says a fellow officer observed a driver stunting Monday afternoon at Columbia Avenue and 18th Street.
Besides a hefty fine and six demerit points the driver’s pickup truck was impounded for seven days.
Matthew says the incident spooked a few pedestrians nearby.
