The chief of Kootenay Boundary Fire Rescue is set to retire.
Terry Martin’s last day is April 28.
His father Arthur “Spud” Martin also had a long career in firefighting and the two worked together while spud was chief at the Rossland department.
Martin started working full time as a firefighter in 1991 after being on call for 10 years.
