The city of Trail has published a special early summer edition of their community newsletter which will be delivered to all residents.
It focuses on the upcoming utilities/pedestrian bridge referendum.
That happens Saturday August 23rd.
The newsletter features an artists impression of the proposed structure and close-up pics of the state of disrepair of the condemned old bridge.
Trail residents will be asked if they’re in favour of borrowing just under $5 million dollars so the city can add utilities and a pedestrian walkway to the sewer pipe bridge the RDKB has to build anyway.
The loan repayments will use federal gas tax dollars and there will be no direct impact on taxation.
