Kootenay West MLA Katrine Conroy has the backing of the United Steelworkers in her bid for re-election.
Union director Steve Hunt says it was an easy decision to endorse her for another term.
Hunt says Conroy has a record of standing up for working families in the area.
The Steelworkers represent over 5,000 people in the Kootenays.
