The BC Green Party has nominated a candidate for the Kootenay West riding ahead of May’s election.
Samantha Troy will run for the Greens.
She moved to Rossland in 1996 and has worked at Red Mountain Resort since 2006.
She ran for the federal Greens in 2015.
In a news release, Troy said she wants to challenge the status quo of traditional governing parties.
She wasn’t immediately available for an interview.
