Red Mountain expansion to receive provincial audit

There’s no suspicions behind an audit of recent forestry operations at Rossland’s Red Mountain.

This from the Forest Practices Board’s Darryl Spencer as the provincial body will examine the resort next month after the expansion the past two years. 

Spencer says the audit is part of their annual program and not due to any concerns raised.


Spencer says they’ll look at Red Mountain’s work from an objective point of view and report back to the public.

He says Red has a controlled recreation area of roughly 500 hectares and they harvested less than 25% of that.
