Government funds approved for Columbia Avenue upgrades

Castlegar has been approved for provincial and federal government funds to improve Columbia Avenue.

The project is estimated to cost $4.8 million.

The federal and provincial governments will pay two thirds of that with the city looking after the rest.

City councillor Sue Heaton-Sherstobitoff explains the work which will be taking place.

This comes as part of an announcement for funds for infrastructure projects for 26 small communities in BC.
