Smokies dump Silverbacks in five

The Trail Smoke Eaters have advanced to the second round of the BCHL playoffs.

In game five of the first round Friday in Trail the Smokies beat the Salmon Arm Silverbacks 7-4 to win the best of seven series 4-1.

Smokies defender Carter Cochrane had 11 points in the series.

Trail plays the Vernon Vipers in round 2.
