Weather played a role in an excessive amount of treated sewage running into the Columbia River in Trail last week.
RDKB environmental services GM Alan Stanley says such events often happen after heavy rain.
Initial reports that raw sewage spilled above ground into the river were not correct.
Stanley adds this will have no impact on animal or plant life in the river.
