The Regional Transit Service has removed a funding allocation which looks after maintenance for Trail’s bus stops.
Mayor Mike Martin is not pleased.
He says the funds were removed for no good reason.
He is hoping for a review of that decision.
The allocation was for $4,000 a year.
The West Kootenay Transit Committee chair stands by the choice.
Lawrence Chernoff says it was a financial decision.
He says the committee’s goal is to continue to build a strong regional transit service.
