Columbia Basin Trust funds grizzly program

A program to promote coexistance with grizzly bears in the Columbia Basin has been given a financial boost.

The Columbia Basin Trust has approved an environment grant for the British Columbia Conservation Foundation for just under $29,000.

Program coordinator Gillian Sanders says the funds will help purchase equipment for the initiative.

The goal is to help farmers protect themselves and livestock from grizzly conflicts.
