The superintendent of the Kootenay-Columbia school district is pleased with their piece of the BC Government’s $50 million pie.
Bill Ford says the money will help add more teachers.
But the school district is still discussing their plan with the teachers union so they don’t know exactly how many staff will be added yet.
SD 8 plans to use their funds to add 11 new full time equivalent teachers.
