Emergency Program Coordinator Noreen Clayton says the trees will be thinned out and some woody debris cleared.
Most of the budget is covered by a BC Municipalities Fund .. Because the work doesn’t come cheap.
14 Interface fire risk projects have been completed but the RDCK still has another 33 to go!
Clayton says private homeowners are also encouraged to ensure risks around their property are dealt with.
