Castlegar RCMP are asking that you take steps to avoid online scams.
This after a woman tried to buy a puppy on Kijiji.
Sgt. Laurel Mathew says she’s now out over $2,000 and the dog never arrived.
She adds another red flag is if the company will only communicate by email such as in this instance.
