It is a big challenge for an East Shore community to rebuild a popular landmark.
This from Area A Director Garry Jackman after the domed roof on Yasodhara Ashram’s temple was badly damaged in a fire earlier this month.
Jackman is an engineer and builder himself although he’s not consulting on this project.
He says it is a big loss for the community and it needs to be brought back.

What is being done now is figuring out how to demolish the structure safely.
The temple was completed in 1992. Jackman says it brings a lot of visitors to the East Shore and surrounding area each year.
