Blueberry parent speaks out

A few parents have recently pulled their children from Blueberry Creek Community School in Castlegar.

Amanda Ovington is one of them.

She’s not satisfied with the board’s communication about her concerns over staffing ratios and criminal record checks.

Police were called to a recent AGM which most parents weren’t allowed to attend.

She says leaving the school has been a difficult transition for her kids.
