Smokies grabbing talent from backyard

Three of the many acquisitions the Trail Smoke Eaters have made this offseason are from the KIJHL, Provincial and Western Canadian Champion Beaver Valley Nite Hawks.
Head Coach Nick Deschenes believes there is untapped potential with Forward Dallas Calvin who had 82 points in 41 regular season games last year.

However, he also spoke very highly of Defenseman Sheldon Hubbard and Goaltender Brett Clarke.

Deschenes notes they’ve also added three NCAA bound defenseman and two other BCHL vets this offseason.
