The Memorial Centre in Trail will undergo some changes in the coming months.
The new owner of the Trail Smoke Eaters has asked the city to build a new storage area.
That project will cost $145,000.
The city will also help install a new big screen.
Robert Baker with parks and recreation says there is a buzz about the team and the revamped arena.
The new screen should be ready by next hockey season.
