Pickleball court ribbon-cutting ceremony this weekend

One of North America’s fastest growing sports now has an outdoor facility in the Silver City.

This from Trail’s Parks and Recreation Director Trisha Davison as one of the four tennis courts in Butler park has been converted to accommodate the avid Pickleball players in the region.

Trail will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony tomorrow at 10AM to celebrate.

The change cost about 22 thousand dollars but the group of players fundraised 19 thousand of that.

Davison says the group learned about the sport in the U-S about six years ago and have been growing it locally since.
