The City of Castlegar is happy to hear of Trail’s success in obtaining lower landings at their airport.
But Castlegar says this will only make Trail’s approach limits equal to those at the West Kootenay Regional Airport.
Mayor Lawrence Chernoff says a study to solve reliability issues at Castlegar’s airport should allow them to improve as well.
He adds Castlegar’s airport will continue to accommodate aircraft unable to land in Trail.
