An emergency homeless shelter in Trail opened for the season this week.
Sheila Adcock with Career Development Services says the La Nina shelter offers much more than a place for people to sleep.
The shelter is open nightly from 9 p.m. till 8 a.m. through the end of March.
Adcock expects to be able to help a lot of people this year.
