Campground fee hike to further benefit Youth Centre

Nelson’s City Campground has been fitted out with upgrades this summer to boost the visitor experience.
And in turn it’s hoped the fees from the full service hook-ups will keep benefitting the Nelson and District Youth Cente which operates the facility as a social enterprise.
Youth Centre Manager Christine Schmidt says it really helps them.
 Full hook-up fees have gone up slightly to $35, but the City calls that a bargain given the campground’s rare location as a venue so close to downtown.
