Castlegar has a new city councilor.
The results from the civic by-election will be made official at 10 a.m. Monday morning.
Preliminary results show a tight race between the top two placed candidates.
Arry Dhillon had 692 votes while Cherryl MacLeod had 682.
Janna Sylvest was third with 398.
Tyler Maddocks had 72.
1,844 residents voted.
There are just over 5,800 registered voters in Casltegar.
