Looks like Kootenay Savings Credit Union is headed for a work stoppage on Friday.
The union has issued 72-hour strike notice and the employer has countered with lockout notice.
Jeff Bromley with the United Steelworkers says a full day of mediation yesterday was unsuccessful.
Bromley says they were still discussing job action when they received lockout notice.
Affected branches include Trail, Castlegar, South Slocan, Salmo, Kaslo, and Fruitvale.
