Saddle Mountain Lookout upgraded

A popular arrow lakes hiking destination has been spruced up.

Over the summer the Nakusp and Area Trails Society fixed up the interior of the Saddle Mountain Lookout.

President Barb Chwachka says it’s a real landmark.

She says it has new sleeping platforms, wall coverings, stairs, and outhouses.

They received about $9,900 from the Columbia Basin Trust’s recreation infrastructure program.
