Hawks win twice, Rebels win one of three

In the KIJHL Sunday in Castlegar the Rebels beat the Spokane Braves 5-2 to finish 1-2 over the weekend.

The Beaver Valley Nitehawks beat the Braves in Spokane Saturday 6-1 to secure a 2-0 record over the long weekend.

The Grand Forks Border Bruins tied the Creston Valley Thunder Cats 5-5 on the road Friday and lost to the Fernie Ghostriders 4-3 in overtime at home Saturday.

The Nelson Leafs picked up a 4-3 win over the Castlegar Rebels at home Saturday to finish the weekend 1-1.
