The future of the proposed Trail Bridge Lighting project looks brighter as donations continue to come in.
The Downtown Opportunities and Action committee just received $5,000 from B.C Hydro.
DOAC Chair Mike Martin says they now have raised $55,000 of their $200,000 goal.
Martin adds the City is covering the costs for the engineering work.
They’ve also received $2,500 in in-kind donations.
The 224 LED light project still needs to be approved by Council but could be installed next year.
It is planned to be a main fixture of the City’s downtown revitalization effort.
