Everyone is invited to next week’s Take Back The Night March in Castlegar.
It happens October 6 starting at Canadian Tire.
Shauna Robertson with the Violence Against Women in Relationships committee is helping to put the event together.
The goal of the event is to raise awareness and support women’s and children’s safety.
The international event began as a small protest in Europe in the 1970s.
Every year in BC there are 60,000 physical or sexual assaults against women.
