Bears spotted in Nelson, Rossland

Wildsafe BC says a bear was seen in Nelson near the rail trail by Mountain Station.

It happened around 6 pm yesterday and is likely still in the area.

They are advising people to carry bear spray.

And in Rossland Thursday a mother bear with two cubs were spotted lounging around the Prestige Inn.

Steve Hoodicoff was working in the area when he spotted the bears.

He says they appeared to not be bothered by people passing by.
