Construction of the new Riverfront Centre Library-Museum facility in Trail could begin in a few weeks.
This from City Councilor Robert Cacchioni.
The city has awarded a contract to Ledcor Construction for just over $5.3 million to handle the job.
Cacchioni says Ledcor will likely seek help from local contractors.
The project is coming in under-budget.
Initial cost-estimates were $7.6 million.
The facility is scheduled for completion in November 2017.
