West Nile Virus has made its way to Creston.
Dr. Rob McLeod with Creston Veterinary Hospital says a horse in the area was found to have the disease.
McLeod adds there have been two cases reported in Castlegar.
He says you should vaccinate your horses for the virus.
He also suggests taking measures to control mosquitos by using repellant on the animals and yourself.
