The Kootenay-Boundary division of BC Transit saw a 7% jump in ridership in the last fiscal year.
Communications Manager Jonathon Dyck says additional service is part of the reason for the increase.
Dyck adds there are plans to improve local and regional connections over the next few years.
Ridership in Nelson and Kootenay Lake West also saw rises.
