Next week’s Castlegar City Council meeting will feature a discussion about the birds and the bees.
Councilor Deb McIntosh has submitted a motion to reconsider the city’s animal control and licensing bylaw to let residents keep bees and chicken coops.
McIntosh hopes to test the waters on this matter with a pilot project in 2017.
She adds it could help promote sustainability in the area.
