Chamber staff hopeful for airport navigation system

The Executive Director of Castlegar’s Chamber Of Commerce is excited about a potential upgrade at the West Kootenay Regional Airport.

Tammy Verigin-Burk says having a more reliable airport in the winter would be great for the city.

She adds chamber staff and Destination Castlegar do a lot of work to offset the impact of cancelled winter flights.

The city is studying whether a new system proposed by Jeppesen Aviation would be feasible.
