Junior Dragons' Den

Congratulations to all the young entrepreneurs who impressed in the Junior Dragons’ Den competition in Trail on the weekend.

Six finalists from local secondary schools went on stage at the Charles Bailey theatre and presented their pitch to a panel of judges.

Rossland duo Tim Baldwin and Jordan Strobel with Ebon Supply Co won the top seniors prize of $2,500 for their skateboard/snowboard apparel.

Kyla Kooiman from Castlegar won the junior prize for her organic Fresh Skin Care products.

The concept of the business competition was a community futures initiative and the organisation hopes to expand it in the coming years.

A total of $9,000 in prizes was given to the finalists.
