We’re learning more about the new navigation system proposed for the West Kootenay Regional Airport by Jeppesen Aviation.
Former MP Jim Gouk is consultant for the City of Castlegar overseeing a study to gauge whether the system would work.
He says it’s made of of a concoction of satellites and on-board computer equipment.
He says Westjet and Air Canada have vessels with the capability to accommodate the system.
