The City of Castlegar has heard a proposal to help the West Kootenay Regional Airport solve its winter reliability challenges.
City manager John Malcolm says it comes from a company with a proven track record.
The proposal surrounds a new navigation system for landings and departures for aircraft.
Malcolm says if things go according to plan they could begin implementing the system next month.
