The City Of Trail has been given an idea what it will cost to remove the old bridge.
It is set to come down after construction of the Columbia River Skywalk is complete in November.
Councilor Sandy Santori says the preferred option would cost $4.3 million.
Bubble curtains for truss and pier removals are factored into that figure.
Santori says the add-on’s will likely be necessary.
The other option costs nearly $8 million.
Council will look into ways to fund the project and drive the cost down before making any further decisions.
The demolition will take four and a half months.
