The Rossland Range area was equipped with a few new shelters last year, and more are on the way.
Coordinator Les Carter says volunteers are seeking donations of materials from businesses for their new Chimo cabin.
He says the shelters are very unique.
The Chimo cabin will be one of the easier shelters to reach.
Carter says the existing structures were showing their age.
