Musician attacked at Shambhala

An on-stage assault to a performer at Shambhala appears to be the only blemish to the well-received music festival.

Spokesperson Britz Robins says a crowd of 15,000 was well behaved for the most part.

However on Saturday around 4:00 am a fan climbed a stage and attacked DJ EPROM who was performing.

Bystanders and security quickly moved in and broke up the donnybrook and subdued the fan.

The alleged attacker was removed from the festival after he was treated by medical staff.

EPROM was able to finish his set and stay for the remainder of Shambhala as he was not seriously injured.

Robins said the incident was under investigation.
