Summer pipe fix in Nelson neighborhood

Upper Uphill residents in Nelson are standing by for a summer that’ll see many of their roads being dug up.

Very old and badly leaking water pipes are being replaced.

Here’s Rob Nystrom with the city’s Operations department.


That’s why around 150 homes in that Fort Sheppard area are on a Boil Water Notice.

The old pipes from the main 5-Mile water source are nearly a hundred years old and others in the uphill area are around sixty years old.
