BC Wildfire radio equipment vandalized

BC Wildfire radio equipment has been vandalized on Thompson mountain near Creston.

Carlee Kachman with the Southeast Fire Centre says the fix won’t be easy or cheap.

She says it puts their firefighters at risk.

The damage happened sometime between July 29 and Aug 2, but they have no idea who did it or why.

Anyone with info is asked to call RCMP. It’s the third time in the last year the site has been targeted.
